Hi Natasha,
Thank you so much for your review and feedback—it means a lot to us.
In previous collections, we used a cotton/spandex fabric, but we want to address an important issue that aligns with our values. In 2022, reports regarding forced labor in the cotton industry, particularly from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in China, have deeply concerned us. Although we have never sourced cotton from the XUAR, as a small, family-owned business, we recognize the difficulty in fully tracing our supply chain.
Because of this, we’ve made the decision to no longer use cotton in our upcoming collections. We are committed to celebrating culture, inclusion, and self-expression while standing firmly against any form of oppression or human rights violations.
We believe our Soysilk fabric offers both style and ethical integrity, but we understand that some may prefer the feel of cotton. For those who do, we’re excited to offer a Linen Blend, which is much closer to cotton, in our Spring/Summer collections. We hope you’ll give it a try and experience the beauty it brings to our dresses.
Your continued support means the world to us, and we’re grateful for customers like you who share our values and vision for a better future.
If you have any further questions, we’re always here to help.
Best regards,
Your friends at Miss Lulo
